Bad Synopses

I love when this topic comes round. It’s so much fun coming up with these. I hope you’re enjoying them too!

If you’re unfamiliar with this feature, it’s one where I take (I try to pick) popular books/comic books/graphic novels and describe them in my own words–only I do a prety bad job of it.

So, let’s dive right in.

*For the record: I love these books, but it’s always fun to poke at things you love.

ONE

Lumberjanes, Vol. 1: Beware the Kitten Holy by Noelle Stevenson, Grace Ellis, Shannon Watters, and Brooke A. Allen

A bunch of kids discover mutant animals, encounter rabid boy scouts, there may or may not be a sea monster in the river, they almost die in a cave, and there are yetis guarding something mysteriously important. How did these girls even manage to survive tbh?

TWO

Deadpool, Vol. 3: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan, and Scott Koblish

Something about the ’70s. Some ancient white dude comes back. Deadpool finally figures out who’s been stealing his kidneys in back alleys. Then it gets sad. No jokes. Just tears. Lots and lots of mixed feelings and tears.

THREE

Suicide Squad, Vol. 2: Basilisk Rising by Adam Glass and Fernando Domingo

Basilisk is actually Loki on steroids.

THE END

Up Tomorrow: Review of Bob’s Burgers, Vol. 1
